About Fernando

Fernando Mañon is an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant and Certified EMDR Therapist. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. He has been in the field for more than 30 years, including time as Citywide Director of Training for New York City’s high school based substance abuse prevention and intervention program. He has worked with adolescents and adults, especially those who have suffered trauma such as:

• Insecure attachment and abandonment
• Sexual abuse
• Physical abuse
• Emotional abuse and neglect
• Addictions

Since 2010, he has been a psychotherapist with Hawaii Island Recovery (HIR) in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, an addictions rehabilitation center with a focus on trauma. He was born and raised in New York City.
